A Message From Cassie

Hi! I’m Cassie Mosher, a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy and founder of Skylark Pelvic Health.

Let’s get one thing out of the way: talking about your pelvic floor can feel super weird. Leakage, painful sex, pressure “down there,” and the feeling that something just isn’t right—it’s not exactly cocktail party conversation (unless you’re hanging out with pelvic floor PTs, in which case… it absolutely is).

I started this practice because too many people are told these symptoms are “something you deal with” or “just part of getting older.” Nope. Not here. You deserve answers and support that actually help you feel like yourself again.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • At this time, we operate as an out of network provider, which makes it possible to focus on your specific health needs without being limited by an insurance-based model. This allows us to work one-on-one with you for 60 minutes and to evaluate and treat the whole body. Payment is due at each appointment, which means you will never receive a surprise bill. Upon request, we will provide an itemized super bill with the codes you need to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement, using your out-of-network benefits for physical therapy. Please confirm your out-of-network benefits with your insurance provider beforehand if you plan to seek reimbursement.

  • Nope! The state of Massachusetts does not require a physician referral or prescription to receive physical therapy services. If you plan to seek reimbursement, please check with your insurance provider if a referral will be needed.

  • The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and connective tissues that create a hammock or bowl in the base of the pelvis, providing direct support to the pelvic organs including the bowel, bladder, and reproductive organs. Its job is to support bodily functions like urinary, bowel, and sexual function, as well as to help stabilize your abdominal core, low back, and hips.
